Vision Of Charlotte Youth Ballet
We want to be recognized as the premier youth ballet in the Southeast, known for our community education outreach, the versatility of our repertoire, the excellence of our performances, and the ability to spearhead partnerships with other local arts groups.
We want to continue to attract, develop, and encourage the best of talents of middle and high school dancers. We are known for our committed volunteers and patrons.
The Charlotte Youth Ballet enriches the community through a non-profit, innovative regional ballet company that provides dancers an opportunity to perform in professional-level productions. By merging youths and professionals, the CYB introduces ballet to diverse audiences to foster a life-long support of the arts.
The Charlotte Youth Ballet has had a long history in the Carolinas, going back over 30 years. Born out of the dream of Charlotte legend Gay Porter, the Charlotte Youth Ballet produced its first The Nutcracker in 1982.
After a twelve year absence, Snow White returns to The Charlotte Youth Ballet. And for the first time, Snow White will be performed on the Halton stage. You won't want to miss it!
After many years at Ovens Auditorium, the Charlotte Youth Ballet moves to its new home at the brand new Halton Theater with its 2005 production of The Nutcracker.
