Artistic Director, Gay Porter, auditions any interested student of dance in September of each year, molding and developing youth from 8 to 18 years of age, with a wide range of ability, and giving them unsurpassed stage experience. While the majority of dancers make up the corps de ballet, the most accomplished are invited into the elite CYB Company, which carries with it considerable prestige and commitment. Company Dancers are expected to participate in a number of community outreach events and fundraisers throughout the year, in addition to all CYB productions. Of equal importance is the expectation that they will be positive role models for their younger counterparts in terms of attitude, dedication and technical ability.
