With only two part-time administrative staff members, the CYB relies on its board and parent volunteers to perform all non-administrative functions. For example, while the dancers work to perfect their parts, an organized, highly efficient army of volunteer parents dedicate endless hours to costumes, sets and props, publicity, fundraisers, and innumerable other tasks. Skilled Board members serve as volunteer Production Managers, web designers, and marketing and development leaders. For instance, one board member, a marketing professional, has been instrumental in marketing our auditions, outreach programs, productions and ticket sales in a myriad of print, radio, online and social networking sites. While advertising costs are excruciatingly high, her expertise and ingenuity has rendered superior and quantifiable results, all within budget.
